Terms of Service

By opening a GlobeWire account or using our services, you agree to these terms. Read them — they're written in plain language on purpose.

The service

GlobeWire provides international money transfer and payment services. We are a payment institution, not a bank. Funds in your account are not deposit-insured unless required by local regulation in your jurisdiction.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a binding contract. You must provide accurate information during registration and keep your account details up to date.

We may refuse or close accounts that violate these terms or applicable law.

Transfers and fees

Exchange rates and fees are shown before you confirm each transfer. Once confirmed, a transfer cannot be reversed except where required by law or at our discretion in cases of error.

You are responsible for providing correct recipient details. GlobeWire is not liable for transfers sent to incorrect accounts due to user error.

Acceptable use

You may not use GlobeWire to:

  • Send or receive funds related to illegal activity
  • Circumvent sanctions or export controls
  • Provide false identity information
  • Interfere with the security or operation of our platform

Account suspension

We may suspend or close your account if we suspect fraud, regulatory violations, or breach of these terms. We will notify you where legally permitted and return eligible funds after required holds.

Limitation of liability

GlobeWire is liable for direct losses caused by our negligence, up to the amount of the affected transfer. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages, or for delays caused by third-party banks or payment networks.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of London, except where local consumer protection law grants you additional rights.
